These product datasheets cover every fuse tube and insulation tube grade we manufacture. Each PDF follows the same layout, so a grade can be checked against a drawing without reading a full catalogue: construction, stock size range, colors, machining options and packing are all on one or two pages. Nine sheets are available below, and every one of them can be downloaded directly.

- Vulcanized fiber tube. Zinc chloride treated paper wound to a predetermined wall thickness, then cured, rolled and ground. Inside diameter 5 mm to 65 mm, length 8 mm to 1000 mm, gray, black or red. The full grade page is here.
- G5/G9 melamine tube. Continuous woven glass cloth impregnated with a melamine resin binder. G9 carries the higher resilience of the two and in most cases can substitute for G5. Inside diameter 4 mm to 80 mm, length 200 mm to 1000 mm, white. Grade page: G5/G9 melamine tube.
- Synthetic arc quenching liner. Polymer raw materials cured by chemical reaction, developed to replace the wound composite liner. Inside diameter 10 mm to 30 mm, length 1000 mm, yellow bore with the outer surface painted to your requirement. Grade page: synthetic arc quenching liner.
- Filament wound tube. Alkali free glass fiber wound at 50 to 60 degrees to the tube axis with epoxy resin. Red, white, light yellow or light green. Grade page: filament wound tube.
- Vulcanized fiber complex fiberglass tube. A filament wound glass epoxy outer sleeve laid over a vulcanized fiber core, with the glass wound in two crossing directions at 50 to 55 degrees. Grade page: vulcanized fiber complex fiberglass tube.
- Vulcanized fiber epoxy canvas tube. Canvas rolled and bonded with epoxy, then hot pressed. Minimum inside diameter 6 mm, maximum outside diameter 48 mm, tolerance plus or minus 0.127 mm on the bore and 0.08 mm on the outside diameter. Grade page: vulcanized fiber epoxy canvas tube.
- G7 silicone laminate tube. Glass woven cloth with a silicone resin binder for high heat and arc duty. Large diameters run up to 49.2 inches inside diameter and up to 48 inches long. Grade page: G7 silicone laminate tube.
- Insulating kraft paper sleeve. Multilayer insulating kraft paper dipped in the glue pool and dried, then cut to length. Inside diameter 5 mm to 65 mm, length 8 mm to 1000 mm, natural color. Grade page: insulating kraft paper sleeve.
- Motor shaft fiber bushing. The same vulcanized fiber construction machined to a bushing drawing, with a density around 1.40 g/cm3. Grade page: motor shaft fiber bushing.

How to use a datasheet in your RFQ
- Name the grade, so quoting starts from the same document you have in front of you.
- Give inside diameter, outside diameter, wall thickness and length, with the tolerances you can accept.
- State the electrical duty: voltage class, breaking capacity, and whether the tube is an arc quenching liner or a structural part.
- List the documents that must travel with the goods, such as a material certificate or a dimensional inspection report.
- Attach the drawing. Threads, slots, tapers, knurling and rolled threads are quoted from the print, not from the datasheet.
Custom sizes, machining and tooling
The ranges printed on these sheets are standard stock and existing tooling, not a limit on what can be made. We machine internal and external threads, slots, tapers and knurling, cut to length, and grind to tolerance. Where a size falls outside the listed range, the answer is usually a new mandrel or a modified mold rather than a refusal. Tooling cost and lead time are stated in the quotation, and if the geometry you want is impractical in the grade you picked, we will say so before you commit to it.
Quality documents and traceability
Our plant operates an ISO 9001 quality management system, and SGS material testing is available on the grades listed here. For incoming inspection we can supply material certificates, dimensional inspection reports, RoHS and REACH declarations, and retention samples. Name the document list in the RFQ and it is priced into the quotation, rather than negotiated after the order is placed.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Can I order a size that is not listed on the datasheet?
Yes. The size ranges on each sheet describe our standard stock and existing tooling. Custom inside diameter, outside diameter, wall thickness, length and color are produced to drawing, and we will confirm whether your size needs new tooling and how long that adds.
Q: Do the sheets include dimensional tolerances?
Some do, such as the epoxy canvas sheet, which states plus or minus 0.127 mm on the bore and 0.08 mm on the outside diameter. For the rest, the usable tolerance depends on grade and machining, so it is confirmed against your drawing at the quotation stage.
Q: Can you send samples before we place an order?
Yes. Samples are available for testing on the grades listed here. Tell us the grade, the size and what you are evaluating, and we will send a sample that matches the production construction.
Q: What is the minimum order?
Trial and prototype quantities are accepted, and low minimums apply to repeat production. A quotation states the minimum for the specific grade and size, because it varies with tooling and material.
Request a quotation
Send the grade, the dimensions and your drawing to sale@fusestube.com and an engineer will reply, typically within one working day. If you are still comparing materials, start from the fuse tube material guide, the composite tube range or the insulation tube range, and read more about how we manufacture.
